By registering for Chennai Duathlon, participants confirm that they have read, understood, and agreed to the following Terms & Conditions.
1. Registration
Participants must provide accurate and complete information during registration. Registrations are confirmed only after successful payment and are subject to the event's eligibility requirements.
2. Registration Cancellation & Refunds
Once confirmed, registration fees are non-refundable and non-transferable, except where specifically decided by the Organizers. The Organizers reserve the right to modify event categories or registration procedures when necessary.
3. Participant Eligibility
Participants must meet the minimum age and eligibility requirements specified for their selected category. Proof of age or identification may be requested during bib/race-kit collection.
4. Health & Fitness
Duathlon involves running and cycling and requires an appropriate level of physical fitness. Participants are responsible for ensuring that they are medically fit to participate. Participants are advised to consult a qualified medical professional before taking part.
5. Risk & Safety
Participants acknowledge that running and cycling involve inherent risks, including falls, collisions, road conditions, traffic, weather conditions, dehydration, and other unforeseen circumstances. Participants take responsibility for their own safety and participation.
6. Event Rules
Participants must follow all instructions given by the Organizers, race officials, volunteers, medical staff, and safety personnel. The Organizers may disqualify or remove any participant who violates event rules or creates a safety risk.
7. Event Changes or Cancellation
The Organizers reserve the right to modify, postpone, suspend, or cancel the event due to severe weather, government restrictions, safety concerns, natural disasters, emergencies, or other circumstances beyond their reasonable control.
8. Timing & Course
Participants must follow the designated course and comply with all timing, transition, cut-off, and safety requirements communicated by the Organizers. Failure to follow the prescribed course may result in disqualification.
9. Cycling Safety
Participants are responsible for using a roadworthy bicycle and appropriate safety equipment. Wearing a helmet while cycling is mandatory. The Organizers may refuse participation if required safety standards are not met.
10. Medical Assistance
Medical and first-aid support may be available at the event. Participants agree to cooperate with medical personnel and understand that medical assistance does not remove the inherent risks associated with participation.
11. Photography & Media
Participants acknowledge that photographs, videos, and other recordings may be taken during the event and may be used by the Organizers for event-related publicity, marketing, social media, and promotional purposes.
12. Personal Information
Participant information collected during registration may be used for event administration, communication, participant identification, results, safety, and other legitimate event-related purposes. Information may be shared with relevant service providers where reasonably necessary to conduct the event.
13. Bib & Race Kit
Participants must collect their bib and race kit according to the schedule and instructions provided by the Organizers. Participants may not be permitted to participate without a valid bib or required identification.
14. Organizer's Rights
The Organizers reserve the right to reject or cancel a registration, modify event arrangements, or take necessary action to protect participant safety and the smooth conduct of the event.
15. Acceptance
By completing registration and participating in Chennai Duathlon, the participant confirms that they have read, understood, and accepted these Terms & Conditions and agree to follow all event rules and instructions.
